I'm Depressed

I'm Depressed

Talk about a depressing post. Baby Bear from Baby Bear Diaries linked his latest post to me. It's entitled Do We Have The Right To Complain?. It wasn't really the content of the post that made me depressed because I agree with whast he wrote - compared to other people, we really are fortunate. (Although I would like to present a rebuttal, I think I would just do that another day to make way for my feeling of depression.) What made me feel the way I felt was this picture:

The Vulture, a bird who feeds on carcasses, was waiting for this child to die. I have read a small article about this picture before. This child was crawling his way to a site where he may be able to get food. The photographer took this picture then left not knowing what happened to this child. A few months later, it was reported that the photographer took his own life due to depression. One may say, not knowing what happened to the child, brought him to kill himself.
